Quickstart Booklet 16 Pages Long

GRAND RAPIDS, MI — A local game group has confirmed that although the recently purchased fantasy boardgame Destiny Bladesmen includes a scaled-down “Quickstart” rules booklet, that booklet is itself 16 pages in length. “Jeez, how long is it going to take to read this thing?” inquired area player Doug Shannin as he flipped through the oversized full-color booklet.

“It’s not as bad as it seems,” countered Theo Falmer, the game’s owner who assumed full responsibility for introducing the game to the group. “Look, you can’t count the cover, the first page is contents and setup, and the last page is a recap. That’s only 13 pages of rules to start with!”

At press time, the group voted against the possibility of just playing another game this evening. The narrow majority was swayed by the promise of a one-page handout marked “Read Me First!” that — on closer examination — was actually a sheet of trifolded 30″×18″ paper.
